Hi - I’m Renée

Aka a freelance producer, vintage reseller, party planner, self-proclaimed powerhouse & dog mom in Knoxville, TN.

‘Bout Me

I’m Renée - a San Francisco Bay Area native turned resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. I am a producer with over 12 years of experience working in television and advertising. I have production experience working in a variety of environments (literally) on shows like Naked and Afraid and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo from my un-scripted television days, and advertising experience working with brands such as Panda Express, Subway, Sweethearts (yes, the Valentine’s Day candy that comes out once a year), Audi, and Chipotle, just to name a few.

I consider myself a renaissance woman, so in addition to my freelance experience I:

  • host a one-of-a-kind event called Pitch-A-Friend, where people pitch their awesome single friends to a crowd of fellow singles.

  • put on other community events such as Coyote Ugly pop-ups, Mean Girls viewings (Rocky Horror style), Halloween Candy & Cheese tastings (basically events that I just want to go to).

  • sling vintage and tschotchkes inspired by my favorite rom coms of yesteryear.

  • bartend/barista/serve at Lilou in Downtown Knoxville.

Likes include: my two dogs Roo & Chiquita Banana, reading, junk journaling, watching tv and movies, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, drinking coffee and the occasional cocktail, and Halloween.

Dislikes include: beets (they’re growing on me but they kinda taste like dirt) and mean people.

48 Hour Film Project

The 48 Hour Film Project is:

  • An exciting creative weekend

  • Filmmakers making short films

  • A global event that happens in more than 100 cities

The 48 takes place on different weekends in different cities throughout the year. In each city local Film Teams—from beginners to pro's--compete to make a short film in only a weekend! Do you and your friends have what it takes to make a film on the fly?

It all begins with the Friday night Kickoff event when you and teams in your city draw genres out of a hat and receive the required elements for your film.

Then it is off to the races—writing, shooting and editing and doing whatever it takes to submit your short film on Sunday night.

The big payoff is seeing your masterpiece in the big screen at a local theater. Every film, both on-time and late, will screen. There is nothing better than seeing your film with an audience and seeing firsthand how they react to your movie.

At the city awards event, the winning films—as determined by local judges—are announced. More than a dozen awards are given—from Best Acting to Best Directing to the top prize: Best Film.
